What the Backtested Points Could Mean at Different Position Sizes
NIFTY futures move in points, and each point is worth ₹1 per unit of quantity. Using the current NIFTY lot size of 65, here’s what the same backtested points would translate to at three different position sizes — small (1 lot), medium (5 lots), and large (20 lots).
| Position Size | Quantity | 2026 YTD (+7,634.95 pts) | 6-Year Backtest (+19,834 pts) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Lot (Small) | 65 | ₹4,96,272 | ₹12,89,210 |
| 5 Lots (Medium) | 325 | ₹24,81,359 | ₹64,46,050 |
| 20 Lots (Large) | 1,300 | ₹99,25,435 | ₹2,57,84,200 |
Purely illustrative — these figures simply multiply backtested points by quantity at today’s lot size (65) to show how position size scales outcomes; they are not a reconstruction of actual historical trading P&L. NIFTY’s official lot size has changed multiple times since 2020. Figures exclude brokerage, taxes, slippage, and margin requirements, assume every signal was taken with no compounding, and are not a promise or projection of future returns. Trade at a position size appropriate to your own capital and risk capacity.
A Trend Engine Built Specifically for NIFTY
NFLT01 plots a “Lion Trend” line pair (a Hull Moving Average–based trend engine) directly on your NIFTY 15-minute chart. Instead of guessing direction from candle patterns, the strategy combines three layers of confirmation before it signals a trade:
1. Trend Direction
Main Lion Trend line vs. a shifted Lion Trend line determines whether NIFTY is in an up-swing or down-swing.
2. Price Confirmation
Price must close beyond both trend lines before an entry is considered — filtering out premature signals.
3. Slope & Breakout Filter
A slope-angle filter avoids flat, choppy phases, while a last-candle breakout check times early entries and exits.
Designed Around How NIFTY Actually Swings
Positional Swing, Not Scalping
NFLT01 holds through multi-day and multi-week trend moves on the 15-minute timeframe — built for traders who want fewer, higher-conviction positional trades on NIFTY current month futures, not constant in-and-out scalps.
Long & Short, Your Choice
Run the strategy Long-only, Short-only, or Both directions. Every entry and exit fires with a ready-made JSON alert payload, so it plugs straight into TradingView alerts and webhook automation if you trade through a broker that supports it.
Calendar-Year Performance
No strategy wins every year. 2022 was NFLT01’s one losing year in this backtest — shown here in full rather than left out.
| Year | Net Points |
|---|---|
| 2020 | +3,250.75 |
| 2021 | +2,977.60 |
| 2022 | −1,139.75 |
| 2023 | +1,157.30 |
| 2024 | +1,313.70 |
| 2025 | +4,730.35 |
| 2026 (YTD, through Jun 22) | +7,634.95 |

Webhook-Ready for Any Algo Platform
Every signal fires through TradingView’s standard, fully compliant alert system — working exactly like alerts on any other TradingView strategy. Futures or Options, Based on Direction
